JESUS AND ME Childrens MINISTRY

JESUS AND ME Children’s MINISTRY Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 J.A.M. (Jesus and Me) is our Children's Ministry ages 0-12 years old. We believe in meeting the needs of the children physically, mentally, and spiritually. We provide a nurturing safe environment where children can learn the Word of God while having fun. We believe in feeding the Spirit as well as the soul and provide a nutritious FREE breakfast every Sunday morning before class (8:30am-9:15am). But Jesus said, Let the children come to me, and don't try to stop them! People who are like these children belong to Gods kingdom. Matthew 19:14 We believe the church of tomorrow starts with children today. It starts with realizing that children are members of the body of Christ and have their place and purpose in the church and in Gods sovereign plan for His kingdom. We believe children are chosen by God and we minister to them in a way where they understand the story of God and how to love and live like Jesus in a fun environment. They are our greatest investment and we teach them to grow and live in the true liberty of Jesus Christ. The children learn bible stories and participate in activities that promote their spiritual development. Children are taught the Word of God in an age appropriate manner and are encouraged to learn the Books of the Bible as well as Bible verses. The sole purpose of this ministry is to instill Gods Word into our children hearts, ultimately winning them to Jesus Christ. JAM is the children’s ministry (infants to 6th grade) at IAM CHURCH and is where our young heroes and their families connect with God’s Story, so they can begin learning to love like Jesus and make a difference in their world. Here you can get information on the different areas of JAM and find how you can get involved. JAM have four main values: 1. Biblical Understanding: Experiencing the Bible, Prayer, and Worship 2. Love: Receiving God’s love so that children can share it with others 3. Right Related: Connecting to each other in Christ like relationships 4. Spiritual Warfare: Equipping children to fulfill their place in the Kingdom Checking in and Checking Out Registration - The JAM registration desk is located at the front entrance in the Gathering Area. Volunteers are at the desk ready to help you on Sunday mornings. You will be asked to complete an information card and will receive a Family Tag and a name tag for your child(Ren). Should your child need you during the service, we will display the code from your family tag and the child’s first name on one of the screens at the front of the Worship Center. At any time during the service, you can check on your little ones; all you need is your Family Tag to gain entrance to J.A.M. Dismissal - Children (birth through 6th grade) are dismissed when a parent or guardian comes to pick them up at their classroom. A Family Tag MUST be presented for your child(Ren) to be dismissed. This is for your protection, as well as the protection of the precious children in our care. Our adult leaders give loving care during both Sunday services. Toddlers - The Toddler area is open to children age 16 months to three years as of September 1 of each new school year. Children are placed in a class based on their birth date, which provides consistency and familiarity among children and their adult leaders. The older Toddlers participate in a Large Group Teach each week that includes a Bible lesson and worship Preschool (3-5 years old) - On Sunday mornings, kids in our Preschool area are placed in a class based on their birth date, which provides consistency and familiarity among children and the adult volunteers. Children of all learning styles experience an exciting retelling of each Bible story, a joyful worship time, and opportunities to learn through interactive and guided activities. Kindergartners begin in the preschool area and transition in January to join the elementary kids. This allows them to adjust to their new role, develop their skills and become acquainted with a new area over time. Club 56 (5th and 6th grade) - From September through May 5th and 6th graders are in Club 56 where they explore their faith by answering deep questions through exploration of the Bible and leader-directed discussion in their teams. Fun is woven in throughout the activities found in this area to reinforce the enjoyment of learning about God. JAM F.A.Q. - Get answers to frequently asked questions about the ministry 1.
